Humpback Whales at Moss Landing
There she blows
Humpback Whales at Moss Landing in July 2014.
Apparently caused by El Nino, the waters are about 6 degrees warmer than normal, causing sardines to come closer to the shore. This in turn causes the whales to come close for feeding. They seem to be enjoying the attention of the many whale watchers, in boats and on shore.
